Why add a widget for my Rocket Money app?
A widget is a mini-app that displays key information directly on your home screen, giving you instant access to your financial insights without even having to open your Rocket Money app. This means you can quickly check your finances at a glance, saving you time and helping you make informed spending decisions throughout your day.
Available Rocket Money widgets
Safe to Spend. This widget provides a Safe to Spend number that gives you real-time information on how much you can safely spend without the risk of over-drafting your checking account.
Rocket Money currently only has one widget available but we're actively exploring additional widgets. Request more widgets directly to our Product team through Canny!
How to add a home screen widget to your iOS device:
Enter Jiggle Mode by touching and holding anywhere on your Home Screen until your apps start to shake. You'll notice that when the app icons start to wiggle, a "+" sign will appear in the top-left corner of the screen.
Open the list of available widgets. Tap the + Add Button on the top-left.
Find and Select Rocket Money in the list of apps
Select the Widget. This will add the widget to the home screen. You can then move the widget by dragging and dropping in the desired spot on your device.
How to remove a home screen widget from your iOS device:
Touch and hold the widget. A menu will pop up.
Tap Remove Widget
Tap Remove to confirm
Requirements for using a Rocket Money widget
Widgets are available on any iPhone running iOS 14 or greater. Widgets are not currently available on Android devices.
Additionally, to use a Rocket Money widget, you'll need an active Rocket Money Premium membership subscription. To protect your privacy, your widget will only display information if your phone has a lock, and you'll need to log in to the Rocket Money app at least once every 30 days to keep the widget active.
