Accounts linked to your Rocket Money account automatically update once every 24 hours. If you don't see recent transactions, they likely occurred after the last update and will appear during the next scheduled refresh from our secure linking provider Plaid.

Syncing your Linked Accounts for Updated Balances

Syncing your accounts is currently available for Premium users.

Tapping Sync refreshes your balance view for your linked accounts. While it can bring in updated info, it doesn't always reflect real-time data — some banks take longer to report transaction activity. Tapping Sync refreshes your balance view in the app.

Premium members can Sync their accounts from the Mobile App:

  1. First, tap on the Settings (⚙️) icon in the upper left corner of the Dashboard.

  2. Next, tap on Linked Accounts

  3. From there, tap on the three dots (...) next to the name of account you would like to sync and select View

  4. Finally, scroll down to and tap Sync Account

Balance hasn’t updated in a while?

  • If your balance hasn’t updated in weeks or months, it might be a connection issue. This can happen if your bank has made changes or if Plaid, our secure linking provider is having trouble accessing your account.

  • To help troubleshoot, please start a chat with our Support team and provide an example of one of the missing transactions you don't see in your Rocket Money account.

Using investment accounts?

  • Most investment accounts only show updated balances, not individual transactions.

  • Since investment accounts don’t show transactions, the balance may seem off if you're trying to track your spending — but this is expected.
