Good news! We've upgraded the way Rocket Money connects with your Apple Card. Now, instead of manually uploading CSV files every month, you can automatically sync transactions using Plaid. Yay!

What's changing?

With Plaid, you'll be able to keep your historical CSV transactions and add a new integration that syncs transactions starting from your last CSV upload. No more needing to upload your statements at the end of every month.

Benefits of the new integration

  • Automatic syncing of your transactions— no more manual CSV uploads!

  • Streamlined categorization through Plaid, improving data accuracy

  • Seamless integration with other Rocket Money features, like Net Worth

  • Your Apple Card transactions will appear automatically in your dashboard, just like any other linked account

Ready to connect? Here’s how:

1.. Open up Rocket Money on your phone— Apple Card data is only accessible on Apple devices with iOS 17.4 or higher, so make sure your iPhone is compatible and that your Rocket Money app is updated to the latest version.

2. If you already have an Apple Card connected to your Rocket Money app, you will be prompted to to update your connection from the dashboard and from the Linked Accounts page. Otherwise, link a new account and proceed to the Institution search.

3. Once you select Apple, you will enter the Plaid syncing flow, which will require you to give Rocket Money access to FinanceKit in your iPhone settings:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Apps > Rocket Money > Wallet

  2. Make sure all accounts you wish to sync through Plaid are enabled with All Available Activity

4. Once you have completed the Plaid setup flow, your data will be processed by Plaid. When it’s ready, your transactions will appear in your Rocket Money app! Your new integration will appear in your linked accounts page, and all of your existing CSV transactions will persist.

Apple FinanceKit Permissions

Because this integration requires Rocket Money to access your Apple data directly from your device, adjusting your device settings will have an effect on what data shows up in your Rocket Money app. If you remove access to one or more accounts in settings (screenshot above), we will not be able to process your transaction data through Plaid. Similarly, if you would like to add an additional Apple finance account, you must do so in settings before syncing through the application.
