A non-spending budget category tracks money movements that don't actually involve you spending money right now. In the Rocket Money app, these won't.

In Rocket Money, the following categories are non-spending categories and how you can use them:

  • Tax-Deductible

Transactions that you can deduct from your taxes at the end of the fiscal year.

  • Reimbursements

Transactions that involve receiving money or getting paid for money that you've spent.

  • Ignored

Transactions that have been ignored either from your entire app or from your budget.

  • Transfers

Transactions involving moving money from one account to the other.

  • Income

Transactions involving you receiving money in exchange for goods or services.

If you want to update a category, here is an article explaining how to edit and create categories.
