Frequently asked questions
What happens if Rocket Money can't lower my bill?
You pay nothing! We only charge a success fee if we successfully negotiate a lower rate for you. If we can't save you money, there's no charge.
How much does the bill negotiation service cost?
We charge a percentage of your first year's savings, which you can choose between 35- 60%. For example, if we save you $300/year and you choose 40%, you'll pay a one-time fee of $120.
How long does the negotiation process take?
After a successful Bill Negotiation, savings are typically applied within 1–2 billing cycles. This timing depends on your provider’s billing schedule and statement dates. Once the discount or credit is active, you’ll see it reflected directly on your billing statement. You'll receive updates throughout the process and a notification once we've finished negotiating on your behalf.
Can I negotiate multiple bills at once?
Yes! You can submit multiple bills for negotiation. Each bill will be handled separately, and you'll only pay success fees for the bills we successfully lower.
What information do I need to provide?
You'll need either your provider account login credentials or a recent billing statement to upload. We'll also ask for your negotiation preferences and payment method for the success fee.
Will my service be interrupted during negotiation?
No, your service will continue uninterrupted. We negotiate on your behalf without affecting your current service.
What if my provider isn't on the list?
Select Can't Find Your Service at the bottom of the provider list. You can still submit your bill for negotiation by manually entering your provider information.
