Rocket Money Premium membership members can securely share their account with a trusted partner. This feature allows you to manage your finances together in one place, while keeping account access safe and controlled. Always be sure you trust the person you invite before sharing your account.

Invite a partner in the Rocket Money mobile app:

  1. Open the Rocket Money app and tap the Settings (⚙️) icon in the upper left corner of your Dashboard.

  2. Select Share Account from the menu.

  3. Under Share With Your Partner, tap Enable.

  4. Enter your partner's full name and email address.

  5. Tap Share My Account. You'll see a confirmation screen—select Done to return to your Profile page.

Invite a partner from the Rocket Money website:

  1. Log in to your Rocket Money account and tap the Settings (⚙️) icon in the upper left corner of the Dashboard

  2. Select Profile from the menu

  3. Scroll to the Share Account section

  4. Enter your partner's full name and email address

  5. Tap Share My Account, then select Done once you see the confirmation screen

How your partner accepts the invitation

Your partner will receive an email from noreply@invite.rocketmoney.com with the subject line:

"You've been invited to join [Primary member's] Rocket Money account."

To accept the invite, your partner should:

  1. Open the email and tap Accept Invitation.

  2. Create a password for their new Rocket Money account (the invitation email address becomes their username).

  3. Download the Rocket Money mobile app if they don't already have it installed.

  4. Log in with their new credentials to access the shared account.

Important notes about sharing your account

  • The Share With Your Partner feature is currently available for Premium members only.

  • The person who sends the invite is considered the Primary member.

  • The invited partner will become the Secondary member.

Secondary member account access and limitations:

  • Secondary users won't have access to the Credit Score feature - only the Primary member can view credit information

  • Secondary members will receive the same push notifications as the Primary, however the push notifications will address the Primary member's name.

  • You won't receive account notification emails - only the initial account invite and password resets

  • Transaction exports will only be sent to the Primary member's email

  • When contacting Rocket Money Support, your messages will appear under the Primary member's name and email

  • Both members will see all transactions and account balances - we do not currently have a feature that would hide specific accounts between Primary and Secondary users.

  • If the Primary member cancels their Premium membership, the Secondary member will lose access to Premium as well.

Why share your Rocket Money account?

Sharing your Rocket Money account with a partner allows both of you to:

  • Track subscriptions, bills, and spending together

  • Work toward joint financial goals in real time

  • Manage budgeting, savings, and account insights as a team

If you're not a Premium member yet, upgrading unlocks this feature along with subscription cancellation and advanced financial savings tools.
