This article will guide you on how to activate your free membership and ensure your Rocket Mortgage and Rocket Money accounts are properly linked.
To begin, you’ll want to make sure that the email associated with your Rocket Mortgage account is the same email that you use to log into your Rocket Money account. You can update your email address after logging into your account by following these steps:
Updating your Email on our Mobile App:
Tap on the Settings icon (⚙️) in the upper left corner of the app
Select Profile from the menu
Tap in the Email Address section and enter the email that’s associated with your Rocket Mortgage
Click on Save in the upper right corner
Updating your Email on our Website:
Tap on the Settings icon (⚙️) along the left hand sidebar
Select Profile from the menu
Click on Change Email
Enter the new email in both boxes on the screen. Please note that the screen mentions updating your “username” - Rocket Money uses emails as usernames.
Once you’ve updated your email address to match the one listed on your Rocket Mortgage account, you’ll need to confirm your free Premium Membership by following these steps:
Confirming your free Premium Membership on our Mobile App:
Click on the Settings icon (⚙️) at the top left corner of the screen.
Select Premium Membership from the menu
Make sure your Premium Screen indicates you have a Free Premium under the Plan type.
Confirming your free Premium Membership on our Website:
Tap on the Settings icon (⚙️) along the left hand sidebar
Select Premium from the menu
You should see the following phrase at the top of the list: “As a Rocket Mortgage customer, you get complimentary access to the Premium features below.”
Canceling a Premium Membership through a Third Party
Because we don’t want you to pay for a Premium Membership in addition to receiving one for free through this partnership with Rocket Mortgage, please ensure that you have canceled any ongoing paid Premium Memberships through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Once this step is complete and your accounts are properly linked, your free Premium Membership should be applied automatically!
Here's how you can cancel your subscription:
For Apple Memberships:
Open the Settings app on your phone.
Access your Apple/iCloud account by selecting your profile at the top of the page.
Under "Active", select "Subscriptions" and choose the one you wish to cancel.
Click on "Cancel Subscription" at the bottom of the page.
Confirm the cancellation.
For Google Memberships:
Open the Google Play app.
Select the profile icon at the top right.
Tap Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
Choose the subscription you want to cancel.
Tap Cancel subscription.
