If you need to temporarily stop contributions to a Financial Goal, you can pause it without losing your progress.
Financial Goals are currently available to Premium and Premium+ members.
How to pause a Financial Goal
Open the Rocket Money app and tap Goals from the bottom navigation bar.
Tap the Goal you want to pause.
Tap Edit Goal.
Select Pause Goal and confirm.
While paused, no automatic transfers will be made toward the Goal.
How to resume a paused Financial Goal
Go to Goals and tap the paused Goal.
Tap Edit Goal.
Select Resume Goal and confirm.
Your goal will resume on its next scheduled transfer date.
Frequently asked questions
Will pausing a Goal affect my saved balance?
No. Pausing only stops future automatic transfers. Any money already saved stays in your Financial Goal plan.
Can I still make manual contributions while a Goal is paused?
No. Manual contributions are not available while a Goal is paused. Resume the Goal to start contributing again.
What happens if I cancel my Premium Membership while a Goal is paused?
Financial Goals require an active Premium Membership. If you cancel Premium, your Goal will be deactivated. See Financial Goals overview for more details.
