Why can’t Rocket Money cancel this?

Rocket Money can cancel many subscriptions on your behalf, but there are some services we cannot cancel.

If you do not see a Cancel option for a specific subscription in the app, that means Rocket Money is not yet able to cancel that provider for you. Wherever possible, we try to share helpful instructions about how to cancel if we can’t cancel it for you.

We are continuously adding support for more subscription providers so we can cancel more subscriptions for you!


How to cancel subscriptions Rocket Money cannot cancel on your behalf

If Rocket Money is unable to cancel a subscription on your behalf, the app will provide self-cancellation instructions so you can complete the process directly with the provider or billing platform.

  1. Open Rocket Money and find the subscription.

  2. Follow the self-cancellation instructions shown in the app.

  3. If you contact the provider, ask them to:

    • Find the account charging your card, and

    • Help you cancel future charges.

  • Why can Rocket Money cancel some subscriptions but not others?
    Each subscription provider has its own rules and processes. Some make cancelling easy and others make it really hard. We would love to be able to cancel every subscription for you!

  • What does it mean if I don’t see a Cancel option?
    If the Cancel option is not available, Rocket Money cannot help with a cancellation for that provider right now. When available, we’ll share helpful instructions on how to cancel if we’re unable to do it for you.

  • Is this because Rocket Money didn’t try to cancel it?
    We consistently try to cancel subscriptions, even when we historically haven't been able to cancel them on your behalf. We are always testing new ways to cancel so we can cancel as many subscriptions as possible for you.

  • Why are some subscriptions so hard to cancel?
    Unfortunately, some providers create roadblocks that even Rocket Money has a hard time overcoming, including their use of bots that limit our abilities to cancel for you.

  • What if this subscription is billed through a third party (like Apple, Google, or another platform)?
    If the subscription is billed through a third party, cancellation typically must be done through that billing platform rather than directly with the subscription provider. Please check out this guide for more information on how to get those subscriptions cancelled.
