Password help: reset or change your Rocket Money password
Whether you've forgotten your password or just want to update it, here's how to reset or change your Rocket Money password.
Forgot your password? Reset it.
If you've forgotten your password, tap Forgot Password on the login screen. Enter the email address associated with your account and we'll send you a reset link. Follow the link in the email to create a new password.
Change your password while logged in
To update your password from within the app:
Open the Rocket Money app and tap Settings (⚙️) in the upper left corner of your Dashboard.
Tap Profile.
Tap Change Password.
Enter your current password, then enter and confirm your new password.
Tap Save to apply the change.
**Please note:** Changing your password from the website is not currently available — use the mobile app to update it.
Updating your email address
If you no longer have access to the email address associated with your Rocket Money account, you will need to update it. To do this, you will need to reach out to our Support team for assistance using the in app chat. They will be able to help you update your email address so you can continue to access your account.
Multi-factor authentication
If you no longer have access to the phone number associated with your multi-factor authentication, you will need to reach out to our Support team for assistance using the in app chat. They will be able to help you update your phone number so you can continue to use multi-factor authentication to secure your account.
Account verification
If your account has not yet been verified with Rocket Money, you will need to go through a one-time, unique login experience to get your account verified. To start this process, simply log in to the Rocket Money mobile app using the email address associated with your account. This will guide you through the verification process and once completed, you will be able to access your account as usual.
