Modifying Your Premium Membership

If you’d like to change the amount that you’re paying for your Premium Membership or the payment account that is on file for your subscription, you can do this on your account!

Changing your Premium Membership Plan

We offer the Premium membership on a sliding scale of $4 -$5 per month (billed annually at $48 and $60) or $6-$12 per month, billed monthly. If you’d like to change what you’re currently paying for your membership, please follow these steps:

  1. Tap on the Settings (⚙️) icon in the upper left of the Dashboard

  2. Select the Premium Membership (if you’re on the mobile app) or Premium (if you’re on the web version) tab on the menu

  3. Scroll down and select Manage Membership (if you’re on the mobile app) or Manage (if you’re on the web version)

  4. Use the slider to adjust the preferred price point for a Premium Membership and tap Update Subscription

Updating your Payment Method

Currently, updating your payment method is only available on our mobile app. To update your payment method, please follow these steps:

  1. Tap on the Settings (⚙️) icon in the upper left of the Dashboard

  2. Select the Premium Membership tab on the menu

  3. Scroll down and select Manage Membership

  4. Tap on Change Payment Method

  5. Select the new payment method from the list of available options. Once you select the desired account, you’ll be able to tap Update Account to confirm the change

Cancelling Your Premium Membership

You’ll be able to cancel you Premium Membership in our mobile app, and on our website by following these instructions:

  1. From within our mobile app, tap on the Settings icon (⚙️) in the upper left corner of the Dashboard.

  2. Select Premium Membership (if you’re on the mobile app) or Premium (in you’re on our web version) from the menu

  3. Tap on Manage Membership (if you’re on the mobile app) or Manage (if you’re on the web version) 👉 If you do not see the Manage Membership, that means that you have already cancelled your Premium membership.

  4. Drag the slider down to $0. By doing this, the Update Subscription button will change to Cancel Subscription

  5. Follow the confirmation steps to cancel your membership (there will be several screens to click through)

Please Note 👉 Removing the Rocket Money app from your phone will not modify or cancel your Premium membership as your account is still accessible through the website. Cancelling your Premium subscription does not delete your account nor does it cancel your bill negotiation requests, or close your Smart Savings account.
