General Information

What is the Rocket Money Bonus Program?

The Rocket Money Bonus rewards you for growing your deposit streak. When you
make at least one deposit each calendar month, you grow your deposit streak,
and qualify for a monthly bonus.

How the Bonus Program Works

How do I earn bonuses?

To grow your deposit streak and earn a monthly bonus, just make at least one
deposit each calendar month. Offer terms apply.

What is the bonus accrual period?

The bonus accrual period is defined as one calendar month. You must make at
least one settled deposit within this period to be eligible for the monthly bonus.

How much will my bonus be?

For every calendar month you make a deposit, your streak increases by one,
advancing you to the next bonus tier. If you skip a month, your streak resets to
zero.

What are the bonus multipliers?

Your bonus multiplier increases as your deposit streak increases.

How is my bonus calculated?

Your deposit streak determines how much your bonus multiplier will be. The
higher it is, the more you earn.

Examples

Itʼs your first month using Financial Goals.

  • You open an account on June 22.

  • You have your first deposit on June 23rd.

  • You had $100 in your account.

  • Youʼre now on a 1-month deposit streak, so your bonus this month is $0.13

Itʼs your 7th month using Financial Goals and you have a deposit each month

Example: Itʼs your 7th month using Financial Goals. Today is July 25th, 2024.

  • You opened an account on January 5th, 2024.

  • Youʼve had at least one deposit in January, February, March, April, May, and
June. Thatʼs six monthly deposits, so youʼre on a six month deposit streak.
    That earns you 0.2291%.

  • Your had $950 in your account. So your bonus for June is $2.18

Itʼs your 5th month using Financial Goals and you ended your streak on month 3.

Example: Itʼs your 5th month using Financial Goals. Today is May 25th, 2024.

  • You opened an account on January 5th, 2024.

  • Youʼve had at least one deposit in January, February, and March. Your deposit
    streak was 3.

  • You did not have a deposit in April 2024. Your streak reset to 0, and you will
not receive a bonus today, May 25th.

  • If you make a deposit in May you start a new streak and will be eligible for a
    bonus paid out in June.

Bonus Payment Process

When are bonuses paid out?

Bonuses are paid on the 25th of the following month. For example, if you earn a
bonus in July, it will be paid out on August 25th, not July 25th. This means there is
a one-month delay between when you earn a bonus and when itʼs deposited.

How are bonuses paid out?

Bonuses will be deposited directly into your Financial Goals. If you have more than
one Goal, each Goal has its own independent streaks and are paid separately. You
can view the bonus earned for each goal individually, or see the total on your
Financial Goal Overview screen.

What makes me eligible to receive my earned bonus?

On the payout date (25th of each month), you must meet these eligibility criteria:

  • Your Financial Goal must be active and open (not closed, suspended, or
    marked for closure).

  • Your account must be in good standing.

What happens if I'm not eligible on the payout date?

If your account becomes ineligible before the payout date, you won't receive the
bonus even if you earned it during the accrual period.

What happens if Iʼm at the $595 calendar year maximum bonus limit?

  • If you have received under $595, but your accrued bonus for that calendar
month would put you over the cap, then you would only receive up to the $595
    cap.

Example:

  • You have earned at $594.32 so far in 2024, have an accrued bonus of $2.34
for the month of November, but that would put you over the limit.

    • You would receive $0.68, making the total paid bonus for that calendar
year at $595. You will forfeit ($2.34-$0.68=$1.66), and the $1.66 will not
      be paid out.
