Help! My linked bank account or credit card gets frequently disconnected

Troubleshooting steps for linked account(s) to Rocket Money through our secure linking provider, Plaid.

Your bank account or credit card may get disconnected from your Rocket Money account for a variety of reasons. If you have recently updated your password for that account or Plaid our secure linking provider is experiencing a temporary issue receiving information from your bank are examples of possible scenarios that could cause your account to disconnect.

To fix the connection with your bank account or credit card in the mobile app:

  1. You should see a banner at the top of your screen that says An account requires attention.

  2. After clicking on the banner, then click on Fix Connection and follow the on-screen prompts to relink your account.

If you are unable to fix the connection, first double check if Plaid is having an issue with your bank by following this guide.

If you continue to experience frequent disconnections of your bank account or credit card, please ensure this account does not have a security measure in place that limits access to your financial or account information to third parties. These security settings are controlled by your financial institution and unfortunately cannot be bypassed.
