If you’re looking to add funds to your financial goal, you’ll only be able to do that through the Rocket Money mobile app as it’s not possible on our website yet.

Instructions on Depositing Funds

You should be able to follow these steps within the app to add funds into your savings plan:

  1. Expand the Savings section on the Dashboard

  2. Tap on the name of the goal that you’d like to deposit funds into

  3. Tap Add Money

  4. Enter the amount that you’d like to deposit and then tap Transfer

If you’re not seeing an option to add money after tapping on the name of your financial goal, you might need to follow these instructions instead:

  1. Expand the Savings section on the Dashboard

  2. Tap on the name of the goal that you’d like to deposit funds into

  3. Tap Options in the upper right corner

  4. Selection Add Money

  5. Enter the amount that you’d like to deposit and then tap Transfer

Please keep in mind that deposits normally take 3-5 business days to become available in the app. Because of our security practices, you can only add $250 per deposit, with a limit of $1,500 per day (across all of your financial goals).

Issues with Deposits

Because your financial health is our priority, Rocket Money’s overdraft prevention system will not allow any deposits into your financial goal if it detects a low balance in your linked checking account. If you’re running into issues with your deposits being skipped or failing but your account balance is high, it might be an issue with your checking account’s connection with our providers.
