To close your Financial Goal from the mobile app:
On the Dashboard expand the Savings section
Tap on the name of the goal you wish to close
Tap Edit in the upper right corner
Select Edit Goal and scroll to the bottom of the screen
Finally, tap Delete Goal
Once your Financial Goal has been successfully closed, you will receive any remaining funds in the next 1-2 business days to the original checking account from which they were withdrawn.
Please note: Closing your Financial Goal is available exclusively on our mobile app. This feature is not available on our web version at Rocketmoney.com.
Issues that may prevent you from closing your Financial Goal:
There is a pending transfer (either incoming or outgoing). Once the transfer is settled (typically within 3-5 business days), you will be able to close the plan.
The checking account linked to your financial goal has been closed. If this applies to you, please contact the Support team with a request to link a new checking account to your Financial Goal and they'll be happy to guide you through the process.
