Managing your bills and subscriptions

Learn how to add and remove recurring charges, such as your bills and subscriptions in the mobile app

Rocket Money automatically detects subscriptions by analyzing transactions from your connected bank accounts and credit cards.

In the Recurring tab you will find all of your subscriptions and bills. The first page, Upcoming will show your subscriptions and bills in a calendar format with what you have upcoming in the next two weeks. Next to Upcoming, you can select All in order to see your complete list your subscriptions and bills.

Any subscriptions or bills without detected payments in the past month will appear in the Inactive list at the bottom.

In cases where a bill or subscription is paid with a check or an account not connected to Rocket Money, you will need to manually add in those bills or subscriptions to track.

To manually add a bill or subscription in the mobile app:

  1. Navigate to the Recurring tab

  2. Tap on the β€˜+’ symbol.

  3. Tap on Add a Bill or Subscription

  4. From here enter the name of the bill or subscription you are looking to add. You can select from your list of services or create a custom name.

  5. Use the Find Transactions toolbar to search and select any transactions that are associated with the subscription or bill.

  6. Next, adjust your billing details such as next bill due date and bill amount if needed.

  7. Finally tap Save in the top right it to add it as a new subscription or bill!

To remove a manually added bill or subscription in the mobile app:

  1. Navigate to the Recurring tab

  2. Tap on the name of the manual bill or subscription you would like to remove

  3. Next, tap on Options and then Edit

  4. Finally, tap on Remove From List

Please note: Adding subscriptions manually is available through our mobile app - this feature is not available on our website, Rocketmoney.com.
